This can be accomplished by using a Dexter Russell 12SXL-PCP 12" Knife Sharpener, Sharpening Steel (07343) which actually removes steel from the blade and restores your knife to its super-sharp feather edge. Made of a stain-free, high-carbon steel with special hardening process. The handle is designed with a course, black polypropylene with a swivel wring at the end.
